Music Director Franz Welser-Moest will be at the podium when The Cleveland Orchestra makes its annual visit to Akron and the Tuesday Musical concert stage.
Under Welser-Moest's leadership, The Cleveland Orchestra has become one of the most sought after performing ensembles in the world. Whether touring Asia as it did in 2010, complete with a Tokyo Residency, or performing in Northeast Ohio at Severance Hall or Blossom Music Center, The Cleveland Orchestra continues to make headlines.
Following a recent London performance, The Wall Street Journal said, "The Cleveland Orchestra proved that they are still one of the world's great musical beasts. With Franz Welser-Moest conducting, this titanic piece (Brahms's Symphony No. 2) reverberated...in the souls of the audience."
