uArts Summer in the City Event
The excitement is building as we get closer to the 65th Annual Italian-American Festival! Scholarship applications are being processed, vendors allotted spaces, and the entertainment schedule is looking incredible. With over 80 wines and some amazing Italian cuisine, this year's Vino Italia at the Akron Civic July 11th promises to be an experience not to be missed. Speaking of wine, we are once again having a homemade wine competition followed by a public tasting of the entries on July 15th.
With more to do this year than ever before, plan to spend the whole weekend with us at beautiful Lock 3 in downtown Akron! Let's see if we can make this our 4th year in a row Akron Beacon Journal readers vote us the Top Festival in Summit County in the Beacon's Best Poll!
Every year the Italian-American Council of Summit County donates to many deserving organizations in our area and provides scholarships to many deserving high school students and we wouldn't be able to do so without the help of tireless volunteers, generous sponsors, amazing vendors, talented entertainers and everyone that attends the Festival. Thank you!
A special thanks goes to the Lock 3 group, the Akron police department, the maintenance crews, and our wonderful committees! We can't thank you enough for your efforts!
